Hub Board Representative
I have worked in Yorkshire all my life. I trained in Liverpool and worked as a secondary school teacher for almost 39 years.
I have a masters degree in education which I achieved whilst working full time and having two young daughters.
I became a Governor when my eldest daughter was at primary school, and I then progressed to the middle school board of Governors and became Chair. When the system changed I went as an observer to Mill Dam school where I also became Chair.
I remained a governor when I retired from teaching because I wanted to keep in touch with Education and I hoped to be able to help make positive changes for local students. I loved teaching and helping students achieve the best they could and to move forward with their lives was an absolute privilege.
